Team Athena Direct’s Impactful Week in Kingston, Ontario: $5,675 in Recurring Donations Raised for University Hospitals Kingston
Last week, Team Athena Direct had the privilege of travelling to Kingston, Ontario for a powerful fundraising mission supporting University Hospitals Kingston (UHK). Over the course of seven days, our dedicated team worked tirelessly, connecting with the local community and sharing the impactful mission of UHK. Through face-to-face conversations, meaningful storytelling, and collective passion, we successfully raised $5,675 in recurring donations—a contribution that will provide ongoing support for vital healthcare services.
A Week of Purpose and Connection
From the moment we arrived in Kingston, we were met with warmth and generosity. The city’s vibrant community was eager to learn about the incredible work being done at UHK. Through door-to-door outreach, local events, and pop-up booths, we shared the hospital's mission to provide life-saving care, innovative treatments, and patient support.
Our goal was not just to secure one-time donations, but to inspire long-term partnerships with monthly contributors. By emphasizing the sustained impact of recurring donations, we demonstrated how consistent support enables UHK to plan ahead, invest in advanced technology, and improve patient experiences.
Overcoming Challenges, Achieving Results
Fundraising is never without its challenges. Throughout the week, our team faced unpredictable weather, long hours, and countless conversations. However, with each interaction, we gained momentum. The generosity of Kingston’s residents and their willingness to make a recurring commitment made every step worth it.
By the end of the week, we celebrated a remarkable achievement: $5,675 in monthly pledges. This translates into a lasting impact, providing UHK with reliable funding that will help fuel research, patient care, and medical advancements.
Gratitude and Looking Ahead
We are incredibly grateful to the people of Kingston for their generosity and trust in the mission of UHK. This experience reaffirmed the power of community-driven philanthropy and the importance of face-to-face fundraising.
As Team Athena Direct continues its mission, we are excited to build on this success. Our time in Kingston was a powerful reminder that small, consistent contributions add up to create life-changing results.
Thank you, Kingston, for your kindness, support, and commitment to making a difference.
